Coffeecup SiteMap Backup and Restore

You probably have multiple Coffeecup site maper site list and to think of having to enter all this data over again after a new install is discouraging. What you need to do is backup the proper registry file and then you can just double click on it to restore the accounts.

In that case, what you will do is backup the registry key that holds the data you need. You will be making a "batch" file that will do the work for you.

You will also have to keep backup copies of your Coffecup Sitemapper Profiles. These will have to be restored in conjunction with your restore of the registry profiles.

Notice: you take all responsibility for following any of these directions.

Before you do anything, you will have to install the Coffecup Google Sitemapper software. Then you have to create a dummy site to map and go through the steps. This will place the registry key in the registry. Then you can work off of that key.

1. In a text editor, type in the following

regedit.exe /E F:\DATA\RegBack\Coffecup.reg "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-*****\Software\CoffeeCup Software\Internet\Profiles"

The "F:\DATA\RegBack\
Coffecup.reg" part of the text will be the destination directory and file where you want the information stored.

The "HKEY and etc." info you will have to get from your registry.Got to step 2 to see how.

2. Start Regedit by going to Start/Run and type in regedit

To be safe, immediately backup your registry and make note of where that file will be so that you can find it if you get into trouble. File / Export.

3. Follow this path: "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21.... path and you will get to the registry key where the info is stored. The rest of the path will vary depending on when and where Coffecup Site Mapper is installed.

Continue to follow this path to get to "Software\CoffeeCup Software\Internet\Profiles"

Right click on the "Profiles" icon and copy the key name.

Go back to your text file and select the "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-********\Software\Macromedia\
Common\8\Sites" text and then paste the copied Key Name so that it replaces the original text.
