Inexpensive DVD Player Recommendations

These players have been tested to play the VCD format.

They are not recommended for anything other than that they are inexpensive and have played the VCD format. We have no connection to Apex other than that we have purchased four of these players for ourselves or relatives and they have been dependable for us. If you don't have a high definition TV, there is really no good reason to buy an expensive model DVD player as far as we are concerned.

These are basically throwaways if you have problems with them after the warranty runs out. We make no guarantee that they will indeed play the VCDs or that they will be trouble free for you.

This is a Sony DVD player that we tested on 1/29/05 and it played our disks without any problems and has many features. In fact, it has played everything we have been able to come up with. Highly recommended.
