If you are like me, I have a very hard time getting blue jeans that are the correct length. Either they are too short, "high waters" or too long and they drag on the ground or on the floor when you take your shoes off.
Most of us don't have professinal sewing machines and so, when it comes to sewing the bottom of the hem, you run into trouble with that big wad of cloth were the seams come together.
Here is my solution and this works good if your jeans are just about an inch too long.
Turn the jeans inside out and cut out that lump of seam material.
Here you can see the lump of jeans seam material removed.
Fold the jean leg over to give yourself the proper hem.
Iron the fold so that it will hold while you sew the hem
Sew the jean hem. This works.
