Here are instructions for operating this Pen Camera DVR:

NOTE: When you first put this pen drive into your USB port, you will probably get a message from your Virus Protection program that it contains the RAVMON.exe virus. Don't know if this is the case or not, some say the file can be perfectly good but, regardless, you do not need this exe file. Let your virus program clean it up. The "AUTORUN.ini" file is not needed either. It adds some chinease characters to yoru right click menu. You might have to boot into Windows SAFE MODE (F8 while booting) to be able to delete these two files. They are not

There is a small switch inside the pen that lets you turn it between camera mode to the left and the photo mode to the right.

How to record a movie:

    1) Turn the small switch to the left.

    2) Press the button on top of the pen, the light will turn to yellow. Five seconds later, the light will become blue, which indicates that the recording beginning.

    3) Aim the lens at whatever your target is and a movie is recording.

How to stop recording:

    Press the button on top of the pen again, it will begin to save data and then turn off, at this time, the light will turn to yellow, reflect that the pen DVR is at standby status.

 

How to see a movie:

    1) Plug the pen to a USB port from your PC until your window recognizes the driver (automatically with Window XP and Vista).

    In order to view the video files from the pen, you will need to have an AVI software installed on your computer.

    You will need some software to convert the AVI movie file into something you can view. The Prism Video Convertor works pretty good and is free. You don't need to install any of the "extra" that it will prompt you for. The base install is fine. Go to the following address and download the Prism program:

How to take a picture:

    1) Turn the switch to the right.

    2) Press the button on top of the pen, the light will turn to yellow. Five seconds later, the light will become blue.

    3) Aim the lens at whatever your target is, and hold the pen still then press the button on top of the pen. Every time you hit the button on top of the pen, it will take a picture.

 

How to view a picture:

    1) Just plug the pen to a USB port from your PC until your window recognizes the driver (automatically with Window XP and Vista).

    2) Locate the file from My Computer (Your PC). Normally it's from Removable Disk (X).

How to turn it off: Hold down the button on top of the pen for 5 seconds, then the power switch is off.

How to charge the pen: Just hook up the pen with a USB port from your PC or the charger provided. Please turn off the pen DVR when being charged. While charging, the yellow light will be blinking. The light stops blinking and the yellow light keeps on, which means fully charged.
