Estate Liquidations & Estate Sales

Many families discover boxes of 35mm slides when settling an estate. We digitize carousels and loose slides so memories aren’t lost, then deliver shareable files on disk or flash drive.

Why digitize slides during an estate liquidation?

Since most people no longer have a slide projector, heirloom slides often end up in storage—or the trash. Customers tell us they wish they had known how affordable it is to preserve those memories instead of discarding them.

Estate liquidation firms & individuals

If you are an estate liquidation firm, running an estate sale, or managing a loved one’s estate, consider helping the family preserve its photo history. Compared to the loss of family roots and history, the minimal cost of digitizing 35mm slides is the best alternative.

Relocating, moving, or downsizing

Anyone downsizing, relocating, or settling a household faces tough decisions with old 35mm slides. Many collections are already deteriorating and, if not kept in a climate-controlled space, may have mold and mildew.

Slides in Kodak carousels

If slides are still in Kodak compatible carousels, you don’t need to remove them—we have a device that handles scanning directly from the carousels at no extra cost. If slides are in other containers, please prepare them for scanning.

Preserving other documents & media

We also digitize 3D stereo slides, paper photos, negatives, medium format films, and documents such as birth certificates, boarding passes, immigration certificates, and newspaper clippings.

Preserve instead of liquidate

Not settling an estate yet? If you’re spring cleaning or preparing to move, consider preserving slides before they deteriorate. If it’s been years since you viewed the family collection, do it soon—over time many fade toward clear film.

Free disposal (optional) after digitizing & approval

Many clients prefer not to keep slides or carousels after digitizing. Upon your confirmed instructions, we will dispose of slides and carousels free of charge. If you prefer, we will return everything to you.
