Kodak Carousel Shipping
This page explains how to ship Kodak or Kodak-compatible 35mm slide carousels to us for scanning. You’ll find identification help, packing tips, and example box sizes/weights.
For non-Kodak carousels or slide trays, please remove the slides and stack them as shown in our prep instructions.
- Determine which carousel you have

- Need prints from your scans? We can make prints for you.
Can I send slides in the carousel?
Yes—80- or 140-slide Kodak carousels can be shipped as-is. The “Ferris wheel” style that holds 100 slides grips very tightly and can be difficult to unload; our Kodak-compatible trays are preferred.
Why send them in the carousel?
Your slides are already organized—keeping them in trays can save hours otherwise spent removing, stacking, labeling, and bundling. Time saved is often worth the minor extra shipping cost.
Before you ship
- Tighten the locking ring inside each tray to prevent rattling.
- For other tray types, remove slides and stack in 2–4″ bundles as shown in our prep guide.

Use the links above to confirm your tray type before shipping.

Keep the slides seated; secure the ring snugly.

A tightened locking ring reduces movement and noise.

Approx. 23" L × 18" W × 11" H, about 32 lb (example only).

Approx. 18" L × 14" W × 11" H, about 18 lb (example only).

Just enough padding to stop movement is fine.
Final notes
We don’t mark up shipping; our goal is safe, efficient delivery. If your trays aren’t Kodak-compatible, follow our non-carousel prep to bundle slides into manageable stacks.
