Intermix Slides and Other Mediums Together for Output
Some customers need slides and paper photos delivered together in a single folder and in a specific order. That’s possible—but it requires extra handling time, which can add to your project cost.
Why intermixing costs more
Different formats often require different scanner setups (for example, 127 vs. 35mm vs. paper photos). After scanning, getting mixed formats sequenced into one folder exactly as you want is more complex and time-consuming.
How to label for the exact order you want
If, for example, you want Folder #3 to contain 5 slides and 5 paper photos in a precise sequence, label the slides and photos with the folder number and sequence numbers:
- Slides: 3-1, 3-3, 3-4, 3-6, 3-9
- Paper photos: 3-2, 3-5, 3-7, 3-8, 3-10
Just realize that we are going to have to charge you extra for this extra work since we are getting out of scanning and into file management which takes us much more time. Time is money $$$$$$. Better to do it yourself and save the money.
If you simply want everything in one folder (no specific order), just tell us—there’s no extra charge for that.
If you’re only receiving digital image files, you can always reorder them yourself later—no need for us to intermix at extra charge.
